We have launched a programming course that pays attention to the foundations. It is designed specifically for beginners: teenagers who are in Grades 9 to 12, or the first year of college. Persons outside this age group are welcome.
Essentially non-different from algebra initially. If you have the ability and aptitude for Grade 9 mathematics, you already have a headstart.
Solve programming problems in the environment we provide, read and understand the study material we have prepared. Simple at first, graded difficulty as you proceed.
By oneself: open a Lesson on a mobile phone in landscape mode, run programs on a desktop or laptop. Or switch between two overlapping windows on your computer.
In a group: a non-specialist teacher presents a Lesson with a projector; students practice later by themselves.
Could be in any domain. What we offer is a systematic study of the basics that will serve as the foundations for the future.
Students might feel that they don’t have the time to devote to matters outside their packed routine. But these are precisely the years for laying the foundations that will be needed for programming, computer science and artificial intelligence.
The present session will end by mid-November 2026. The next session will begin in mid- December 2026. For new enrolments, you can make inquiries after mid-November and before mid-December.
PUGofer is a teaching language built on Gofer 2.30a, and Pug is its interpreter. PUGofer is a dialect of a Haskell predecessor, while Pug is a tiny ready-made program for MS-Windows, Linux and macOS, with nothing to compile and nothing else to install.
